WOW! Our time spent at Scaling New Heights this year was AMAZING! We were so blessed to get to spend time with our industry peers and all of the incredible sponsors. This event truly demonstrated how Unstoppable our industry can be when faced with extraordinary circumstances (like a pandemic, for instance). Coming together to learn and share our insights makes us stronger as a community and we are so grateful to have the opportunity to be part of it all.
This week’s episode was extra special because we were LIVE and IN PERSON in Fort Worth, Texas! We got to physically sit down with ADP, Practice Ignition, Liscio, and Avalara which was a real treat.
Our discussion with Liscio centered around the client experience and how their features really allow the work to get done faster and easier, on the client AND accountant side. We talked about the massive updates and client-facing improvements that Liscio has made just over the past year or so – it’s incredible! We also touch on their recent partnerships with SmartVault and Karbon, which really help to fill the workflow gaps that can exist in your firm.
There was also a lot of excitement going around SNH regarding the features offered by Practice Ignition. They joined us to talk about some of their recent developments, including their new integration with Gusto. One of their latest releases has also created a lot of buzz, which is their new web connector feature. This feature allows you to connect Practice Ignition to your website. Basically, through Practice Ignition, you’re able to add your services to a page on your site which allows prospects or clients to pick and choose which services they’d like. Then, a draft proposal is created from those selections and you’re then notified. Amazing!
We also had the pleasure of visiting with Avalara! Avalara works with businesses of all sizes, all over the world to calculate tax accurately and automatically. They shared with us some of their newest acquisitions including TTR and Davo. They’ve also been busy streamlining their 1099 processes and growing their accounting platform integrations. The founder of Davo even dropped in for a visit!
ADP has been our Champagne Sponsor for all of 2021 and we were so grateful to see our primary contact and friend, Nick Panepinto. It was actually his birthday and we surprised him with some treats! We got to reflect on our past year of partnership and how it has helped accountants and small business owners get the necessary information for informed decision making. ADP’s services and resources (especially throughout the pandemic) were extremely robust and helpful for many firms and we can’t thank them enough for all they do for our community.
We’re so grateful to Woodard and Scaling New Heights for providing this shared space of learning and community. We were honored to be part of this event and we gained a TON of valuable insight as to what our peers would like to see in the app landscape to facilitate their firms’ success.
